Rev. Pat Longstroth (Pastor):The majestic beauty of God’s creation brings me great joy, especially the splendor of the Pacific Northwest. I love walking outdoors, hiking nature trails, and taking in the beauty of area waterways. My husband enjoys nature photography, and he’s working to develop that skill in me. I also enjoy serving others in the community, and hearing the life stories of God’s people. I receive a great gift each time I discover how God has blessed others through the presence and work of God’s grace. I look forward to hearing your story!
Dee Boatwright-Frost (Business Administrator):
My family moved to the beautiful Northwest in 2001 from what we now call the Ever Brown State, California. I’ve spent the last decade or so working on sustainability, resiliency, and clean technology projects with my husband and I met Pastor Marta through her involvement with the Kitsap Resiliency Project. I also spent many years as a homeschool mom and a 4-H parent. My daughter is now attending Olympic College and doing very well.
I’m responsible for preparing the weekly bulletins and inserts for Sundays , memorials and special services, printing and mailing the monthly newsletter, ordering supplies, keeping the calendar, and a huge dose of “other duties as assigned.”

Debbie Thompson (Finance Secretary):
I grew up in the desert southwest, but call the beautiful Northwest home. I am married with twin teenage daughters, and have an adult, married daughter with two grandsons in the Portland area. I was raised, baptized, and married in the United Methodist Church at Glendale, Arizona. I attended a Pentecostal Church for seven years. This was a spiritually educational experience for me in which I gained many strong and long friendships from that church membership.
My family and I have been happily attending Bremerton United Methodist Church since 2006 and love our church family here.
My career has been in the medical field back office for the past 27 years. I also work part time in the church office as the financial secretary assistant, assisting with accounts payables, keeping track of giving, memberships, and attendance.
In my free time, I volunteer as the children’s education coordinator. I continue learning as I teach the elementary Sunday school class.

Michelle Abad (Communication/Office Assistant/Web Page Creator):
I am a Vocal Performance Major who was born in Germany and moved to America when I was little. I have lived in Washington most of my life, and graduated from Bremerton High School in 2005. I later went on to Olympic College in Bremerton to get my AA, and went on to Central Washington Univeristy where I am currently studying for my baccelors degree in Vocal Performance.
I mostly teach for a living. I teach private voice lessons and I am also a teaching artist at Bainbridge Performing Arts where I teach musical theatre classes to young ones. When I am not teaching, I work here in the church office and I also perform.
I am an actor based out of Seattle and I have worked with such theatres as Couer D'Alene Summer Theatre, Leavenworth Summer Theatre, Seattle Musical Theatre, Bainbridge Performing Arts, and many more theatres in and around Kitsap County.

Babs Abad (Youth Group Leader):
Originally from England, I have now lived in the USA for the last 24 years. I lived ten years before that in Germany where I met my husband. We married in Denmark and later, as our two children started to approach school age, we decided to settle down in my husband’s hometown – Bremerton, and 2 years later my third child was born.
I have been with the United Methodist Church since we arrived in 1991, starting as the Nursery Attendant at St. Luke’s across town on the east side. After a series of different youth leaders, I stepped into the position there until we could find someone permanent. Now, one church merger with the Bremerton First United Methodist church, and 13 years later, I am still the Youth Leader and have to admit to loving every minute of it.
My passions are being around children of all ages and in my spare time, I love to walk on the beach, listen to the rain, and play with my granddaughter. I love life, and I especially love our dear Lord and Savior, without whom my life would have been a disaster.

Earl Rice (Music Director):
I’m a retired United Methodist Pastor with a background in both instrumental and choral music. I consider music in the church as a calling to all who participate to express our loving response to God’s love. If we sing, it is to the glory of God and lead others to worship. If we play musical instruments, it to worship, not perform—but we owe it to ourselves and each other to give our very best. Everyone is invited to be part of our musical expression. Some will sing, some will play instruments, some will be the listening side of the worship equation. We will all worship. Please know you are invited to be part of making music in the church.
